Armand tried to trap the killer in the apartment, but he escaped through a second door in the kitchen. Armand and Reine-Marie both smelled a hint of cologne in the air, proof that the killer might still be there. Inside they found the apartment had been ransacked and the body of Alexander Plessner, a man who Armand does not recognize, laying behind a couch.
